Fees & Logistics about my Practice
As of July 2022 I do not have any openings in my practice. If you would like to be placed on a waitlist please reach out.
I practice in Berkeley, California. Services are currently being provided via telehealth (for any person currently residing in California) and in-person for folks who are fully vaccinated.
PSYCHOTHERAPY:
My fee is $180 for a 50 minute individual session. Payment is due at the time of session, and I use an online payment service that is HIPAA compliant called IVY Pay.
I do not contract with any insurance companies, but can provide you with receipts for our sessions which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance company to find out what your coverage is for an “out-of-network” provider.
I have several sliding-scale slots and one pro-bono spot which are prioritized for queer and trans Black and Indigenous people of color. These slots are all currently full.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133 - effective January 1, 2022), health care providers need to give clients or patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.
A Good Faith Estimate is for your awareness only. It does NOT involve you needing to make any type of commitment.
